Within organizations, the Energy Management Expert performs the fundamental function required by current legislation (Legislative Decree 102/2014 – the so-called Energy Decree), of reducing energy costs. Using its skills and knowledge, it researches the best technologies to increase the organization’s energy performance, reduces energy supply costs, and encourages the use of renewable energy sources. UNI CEI 11339:2009 – Energy management – Experts in energy management, as required by Leg. 104/2014 on energy efficiency Engineers, Architects, Land Surveyors, Industrial Surveyors, Agricultural Surveyors, Public Institutions, Graduates in Chemistry, Agricultural Science and Technology, Forestry and Environmental Science and Technology, all those who wish to acquire the fundamentals of the knowledge necessary to carry out the activity of Expert in Energy Management. Companies / Entities where Law 10/1991 requires the appointment of the Energy Manager;
Users/customers with significant energy consumption individually, grouped in consortia or association structures, interested in efficient energy management;
Energy carrier distributors and suppliers, wholesalers, and traders;
ESCO – Energy Service Company;
Engineering companies and technical service facilities to carry out energy diagnostic activities and feasibility studies for access to incentives;
Banking and financial organizations;
National, regional and/or local energy agencies;
Public and/or private organizations of any sector and size that intend to voluntarily adopt and implement an Energy Management System;
Energy consulting company. There are no specific educational preconditions or prerequisite qualifications for assuming the role of energy manager, but in order to obtain certification for the qualification and access the exam, the minimum requirement is a diploma or equivalent qualifications. The course provides the necessary preparation to take the RINA certification exam, which is required for licensure in the profession.
